Tray of the Week, No. 4

A saucy serving of what I romanticised, saved, spiralled over or binged this week.

🍪 Snack I’m Romanticising:

Wicked Sister High Protein Pudding cups. 15g of protein and just enough sweetness to convince myself I don’t need ice cream on a Tuesday night. A practical indulgence, if you will.

🛋️ Tab I Bookmarked in a Moment of Weakness:

A $2,000 Togo couch that wouldn’t fit in my studio apartment even if I disassembled the kitchen. It would also destroy my savings. But the red flags only make me want it more.

💳 Thought That Won’t Leave My Head:

Will apartment-shared washers and dryers ever accept tap-and-go? Or are performative gender dynamics in exchange for eight one-dollar coins just part of the foreseeable future?

🎧 Something I Binged Like It Was A Sport:

Emma Gannon’s audiobook The Success Myth: Letting Go of Having It All. Could 👏 Not 👏 Stop 👏. Sharp, relatable, and a comforting listen for anyone navigating burnout, ambition fatigue, or the existential dread of “never quite arriving.”

😰 Follow-On From Last Week’s Micro-Spiral:

It’s my final week of this contract and I’m still in the process of lining up the next gig. It’s fine. EVERYTHING’S FINE.
