LOAFER WISHLIST

I’ve gone loafer crazy. It all started with a trusty pair of Dr. Marten Adrian Tassle Loafers – the gateway loafer – in which I had to wear three (very thick) pairs of socks to fill them out because my usual size was HUGE (according to Reddit I am not the only one with this issue). Suffice to say, they have become a staple part of my wardrobe, elevating the simplest everyday outfits with a bit of quirk and not too much pretension.

After unsuccessfully purchasing further pairs (then selling on said unsuccessful purchases) I’ve now come to the conclusion that the perfect loafer size for me is a full size down (or a half size if we’re talking vegan leather… that shit’s not as giving).

Now that I have found my groove/unpacked my obsession with loafers, I of course have made a wishlist of the next pairs that I will be looking to add to my ever evolving drobe.

Noskin
Mater loafer

First on the list are the Mater Loafers by Melbourne based brand, Noskin. I’ve had my eyes on this brand for a while now and actually just made my first purchase of Mater Loafers during their Black Friday sale (so technically no longer a wishlist item) and they have been beautifully brilliant to say the least. I went a full size down with these bad boys, which admittedly has been a little tight (due to the vegan leather) but I imagine are full size up would have been too big (would rather tight loafers than have my feet sliding around!).

The Mater Loafers are a refreshed take on the Tassel Loafer with a slightly squared toe and a thick vibram sole. I love them mostly as they an serve as both a formal or casual shoe depending on how you style them.

Bass Weejun
Larson 90s Loafer

Next on the list are the Larson 90s Loafer by footwear giant, G.H Bass Weejun. I’m obsessed with a black and white two toned shoe so that vibe infused into a loafer is honestly a dream. Also sporting a thick ‘lug’ sole these loafers couldn’t get any better IMO. I am manifesting these for my closet rn.

PRADA
MONOLITH Loafer

These loafers are absolutely GORGEOUS. I can’t even with them. I’ll never have them but I can keep wishing, right? Actually, that’s too negative for the first day of the year; I WILL HAVE THEM. I don’t know how, but I will, however, I digress – next on the list are the famous Prada Monolith Loafers. I’ve never tried them on (nor have I been in the same room as them) but they look hella uncomfortable – not that that’s necessary to factor in when footwear looks this good tbh.

Anywho, I won’t be telling anyone when I win the lotto… but there will be signs.

POMPEII
MODENA Loafer

Next on the list are these timeless beauties by Spanish brand, Pompeii – a brand with a truly stunning aesthetic. I love the simplicity and elegance of these loafers, along with their subtle worn look and thick sole (by this point I’m sure you can tell I dig a thick sole).

These shoes would pair wonderfully with a pair of dress pants or jeans and shorts – beyond perfect for the everyday. They also come in both black and roast (the latter being my pick).

Noskin
LUlie patent Loafer

And to bring this wishlist full circle, we end up back where we begun with Noskin. As mentioned, I’ve been following this small Melbourne brand for a while. Their founder is very active with his audience (love a brand with a face) and they make wonderfully timeless pieces with their own subtle flair.

After a successful purchase of their stunning ‘Mater’ loafer a few weeks back (which arrived on my last day of the year in the office – honestly the angels wanted this) I can safely say that this brand delivers the goods, therefore it goes without saying that I will be acquiring their Lulie loafer at a not too distant pay day in the future.
